Overview & Key Benefits
Speaky uses advanced translation models combined with auto-detection technology. While very accurate in most cases, real-world factors can affect performance:
- Accuracy issues, Accents, slang, background noise, or very fast speech may reduce translation quality slightly.
- Noisy environments, in loud or crowded places (markets, beaches), voice-to-text and auto detection can be less reliable.
- Auto detection limits, currently optimized for Sinhala, Tamil, English, and Chinese; other languages may require manual selection.
- Text features, text-to-text, and text-to-speech work with very high accuracy even when voice input has issues.
Voice-related features (auto-typing from speech and voice output) are the most affected by noise or accents. Text-only translation remains highly reliable.
If you experience any problems (inaccurate translations, detection failures, or voice issues) while using Speaky, please contact us. We actively improve the feature based on real user experiences.
Speaky turns language differences into opportunities for connection, making every conversation in Sri Lanka smoother, friendlier, and more meaningful.
